Can you be more specific, what kind of trouble?
OK, I'll try to give some, but I'm not really sure what you are looking for.

Falling prices for cereals. This is evidenced by the fact that (at least when I'm in Manitoba compound) were not enough rain for a good harvest. This leads to family problems. Families are going bankrupt, or at least the additional efforts that contribute to increased marital problems, health problems, divorce, etc. could

The qualified second, losing the provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba as workers exposed to the larger provinces such as Alberta. Take for example the oil industry. Students directly from high school to work on oil rigs, because the money is so good.

The "brain drain" caused more problems. Other professionals such as doctors and nurses are gone because of high wages and incentives elsewhere. (Granted, I know it's really a problem that affects all provinces.)
